The fashion show started off with Mintdesigns. Mintdesigns is a designer unit consisting of Hokuto Katsui and Nao Yagi. They create clothing with the concept of “designs found in everyday life”. The brand not only does clothing but also items that enrich our living space and everyday lives.

Here are a compilation of the designs that i like during the run way! (Credits to Xin Yu for being my hard working assistant!)

I really love their prints and free flowing look which gives interesting silhouettes. Up close in real life the material is soft and nice. The prices are reasonable and not too expensive for designer goods.

I met up with my new Austrian friends i made in London, and they took me to take a look at their subculture shops, after which we headed to the Vienna Vintage Salon!

To be honest this is my first Vintage Salon ever, I wish i could have stayed longer to watch burlesque performances but alas, i had to go. However i did meet wonderfully people! One of them happen to be a beautiful lady, Niki Osl.

Niki Osl is the art director and designer of miss lilly’s hats. She currently lives and works in Vienna.
She hand makes her beautiful accessories from old and vintage flowers. The brand name was inspired by her favorite cat, Lilly.

I was lucky to see those beautiful pieces in person, and suddenly i can think of how i can mix it with mori girl look as well as dolly kei. The pieces in fact reminded me of Grimoire’s accessories only miss lilly’s hats are made from vintage materials but isn’t as expensive as Grimoire’s. She’s currently working on an eclectic flowercrown that will have real diamonds in it! Can’t wait to see that.

Miss Lilly’s hats sells a few different items and all comes with a reasonable price, ranging from € 35 to a few hundred euros(but that is to be expected when it comes to quality, vintage materials and original design. Even Taylor Swift has one of these!)The vintage earrings start from € 35, flower crowns start from € 240, alice bands at € 60Flower Barrette at € 65 and Boutonniére at € 35. You can also order a personal design! Her first line of wristbands is in the works and it will be priced about € 35.

I’ve seen them in real life and I really really like the quality and how beautiful it is in real life.

what is your inspiration?

My inspirations are music, art, nature, my mum and my cats. But there are so many things that can be inspiration. I love colours and how they work together is really exciting! There are so many possibilities to mix them, it’s great!

are you opening a physical shop? or people can find your items in a shop?

I just created a online store, it should be ready in february.
You can also buy my headpieces in selected stores in Vienna, Graz, Munich and Cologne.

Are you collaborating with Lena Hoschek ? ( i love this store for it’s clothes and dirndl! do check it out)

It was a collaboration shoot with Lena Hoschek also accessorized her models with mlh in her last “Dirndl” catalogue ( of her traditional line.)

Anything you’d like to say to the readers?

I am very honored that the US Music-and Style Icon Taylor Swift is the proud owner of a mlh flowercrown and that we are working on our first US press release for miss lillys hats. It also means a lot to me to mention, that miss lillys hats is giving back to support straycats. Since “Lilly” my cat and inspiration used to be a straycat, we donate € 5 for every sold mlh flowercrown.

I’ve been real busy lately! Getting my Cat lady mode on! So this sunday there’s an event called EOY in Singapore, at Marina Barrage . Do come down! I’ll be sharing a booth with my friends called Dinos and Dolls and we’ll be selling really wacky stuffs, including my cat lady things! Only 30 people are selected to attend this tea party . Unfortunately some did not showed up and this greatly annoyed me because so many people had wanted to meet her, yet these people did not give up their place or showed up or were even the first 30 people.

Then again, the venue was terribly small and it could barely fit 30 people, seats were that limited.

Not many really touched their cakes and we had one miserable tea. The rule was that no one was supposed to take photos of Misako during the session, however people outside the cafe can go snap crazy . Weird eh? It was a weird open concept i don’t get and it’s terribly noisy i could barely hear what they said.

Anyway it started of with Misako being introduced to us, and a short interview session by Jrunway. Misako introduced what she was wearing and her looks from hair to make up. Her make up of course being doll like with the two pink cheeks. Her favourite colour is pink.She mentioned that she went around the tourist attractions in Singapore. Frankly i’m amazed she got to do so much in one day, because I was suppose to fetch her with my friends at 6 am plus in the morning ( but i fell sick). So perhaps from that time onwards it’s exploring time for her. Poor girl, must be so tired, she kept yawning (cutely). It was so nice of her to bring along the little gift that my friends and I worked on the night before. Credits to the genius who decided to give her a pink merlion! I sewed it a bonnet and decorate it abit. Turn out pretty cute!

She showed it to everyone, and to be honest i felt really happy and shy . I “broke” my back from all that sewing.

So after which they gave us the opportunity to ask her questions. My crazy friend Sakky asked her a strange question based on her old interviews about how she likes looking at veins at the wrist to arms area especially if they bulge, because it was easier to inject or something like that. She asked if she had seen anyone in Singapore with nice veins yet. Well…apparently not…but i was very amused that everyone started showing her theirveins…

I unfortunately, due to the lack of (hearing/lostintranslation/ visibility) I don’t really know who else asked questions but these are a few I remembered and heard. I’ll start with the one where someone ask her how many dresses she own. Apparently she owns about a hundred dresses! Not that i’m surprised. I bet theres more. Well from this question, we also found out that there will be a feature of her on NHK ( i think) that gives us a glimpse of her room and perhaps walk in closet, due sometime in November.

If there was one wish that she could have, what would it be? Oh sweet Misako just wants to have a prince that will take care of her! I think it’s high time too!

Another question was something like , if your house was on fire, if you could take one dress which would it be? She cutely replies that she’d layer all the dresses she’d like on herself and escape! She’s a trendy person so she likes new trendy clothes, so she’d probably save that one first.

I asked her question if she would wear a different style other than lolita? She replied that she would wear emily cute. Not really surprise because I use to see her wear emikyu alot last time. She says she really loves emikyu.

She also asked us questions like where do we have our tea parties and where we get our Lolita clothing.

So after all that, it concluded with photo sessions etc. I honestly am not a huge fan of her but she’s so likable and polite, that I came back liking her evenmore than I used to.

It’s funny how people think there are no lolitas here in Singapore…If only they knew! (well now they sort of know! so we hope misako comes back!)

Apart from her, I also met a really cool person, Katsuda-san is a putumayo rep and I really enjoyed talking to her…(with my translators of course) She was so amazed that we know so much!

So that is end of the tea party with Misako! The following day was the launch party of Jrunway which she was modeled in! That will be up in the next post.

When I landed in prague it was already raining and chilly. So when I finally got to my accommodation, I was so happy that it was a comfortable homey place, and best of all it had a 5 star view!

I was served a nice pot of really nice chinese tea to warm myself up. Rested abit before exploring the place with a mental map. I underestimated the size of prague…because mental map distance is totally different even though I was heading in the right direction.

It’s quite easy getting around prague except for the names of places. Very hard to pronounce or hear but that could be easily over come. On my way i do noticed something about prague, in outskirts and also in town, there are alot of second hand shops. Do you know how excited i got? This is bohemia land! Unfortunately though, i only manage to go to one second hand shop, strangely, called revenge! There is nothing revengeful there. However, i did find a few pieces that was lovely, bohemian dolly kei outfit pieces, really good quality branded but more than half price slashed outfits. Basically I think you can find alot of cool things in this shop and other 2nd hand shops here. So if you are in prague and tired of the normal shopping, go check out 2nd hand shops, best place to find morigirl pieces and dolly kei. I think dolly kei might be easier to find there though. Second hand shops are usually along the streets.

Another thing i found out, dumplings aren’t dumplings, they look more like potato cakes or bread cakes…i don’t know. Taste good though.
Prague has fantastic nature spots and very medieval. Food prices differ greatly in the city and in the residential areas and they’re not allowed to charge you service tax…it doesn’t exist there. it’s illegal.

So finally we’ve come to the second last post of this event, i know it took forever! The last post will just be photos of the wonderful people i’ve met. On that day, was the tea party as well as the results of those who took part in the 3 competitions. I myself took part in two of the competitions , however, I didn’t win anything unfortunately, but i did win a number of raffles. I must have had lucky numbers!

So, I do apologize in advance if you start being hungry now, because i’m going to post some food photos. One thing I had fun with was teaching my new friends who sat with me, on how to eat scones. When I saw Jam I was very very sure they would serve scones! and they did.

So after all that munching and drinking lots of tea, they announced the winners etc and I won a couple of nice expensive things. Then my friend Dani, who sat next to me was really a big winner. She bagged 2 big prizes , winning the Doll-like competition which gave her a signed book of Koitsukihime’s works, and also the make up competition, a bag full of expensive make up products.

That’s about it! Next post will come in a day or two and it’ll be the final one of this tea party. Then we can move on to a different country! Thanks for sticking with me and reading through all this even though it’s not really a morigirl post at all, but I know alot of mori girls who are lolita too right? Stay tune!
